Guard Your Heart

As you spend time in the secular world, whether at work, school or in your neighborhood, you know there is a battle against the Word of God. So, how can you guard your heart against the barrage of fear and negativity? Keep your faith in action every day.

According to Proverbs 4, God says you must keep His Word constantly in your ears and in your heart. He says to guard your heart diligently. To be diligent means “to be hard-working, industrious and persevering.”

Why do you have to be so diligent with the Word? Because the devil is diligent with his junk. He is constantly throwing fiery darts at you. He works diligently to make sure the world is surrounding you with fear, sickness, poverty and every other kind of garbage he can use to destroy you. But you can protect your spirit from those things by conditioning yourself to respond to every one of them with the Word of God. Change your routine, and make a decision right now to begin that spiritual conditioning.

Start today and make speaking the Word part of your daily life. Try these confessions today:

  • Father, keep my tongue from evil. Help me to depart from evil, do good, seek peace and pursue it. (1 Peter 3:11)
  • I will walk in wisdom, and my speech will be filled with grace . (Colossians 4:6)
  • I guard what I say and keep myself from trouble. (Proverbs 13:3)
  • I always think about how to answer, even when I am upset. (Proverbs 21:23)
  • I give all my cares and troubles to the Lord. I don’t hold onto them or worry and become troubled. I know He takes care of me.  (Psalm 55:22)
  • I don’t look at or listen to anything that is not pleasing to God. If it is against His Word, I don’t let it into my life. (Psalm 101:3)
  • No matter what people around me say, no matter what the doctor says, I know that I know that I know that I am healed by the blood of Jesus! (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24)
  • I am not under the curse of sickness. I am not under the curse of poverty. I am not under the curse of lack. I am not under the curse of generational mistakes before me. I am not under the curse of strife. I am free, and I am blessed in Jesus’ Name!(Galatians 3:13)
  • I am not friends with the world. I don’t receive what the world has to say about me or my situation. My heart is fixed on the Word of God! (James 4:4)

Speak these words as a part of your daily routine. As you read your Bible each day, locate and highlight more to add to your collection. Then, watch your words, guard your heart and get results!

Jesus Hears Our Prayers

“Father, in the Name of Jesus I come before You today. I take authority over Satan and bind his operation in my life. I pray the eyes of my understanding are enlightened that I may know how rich is Your inheritance in the saints, that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, walking fully pleasing to You, increasing in the knowledge of You. Father, I pray I will be rooted and built up in Jesus, established in the faith. I am confident that You who began a good work in me will continue it until the day of Jesus Christ.

I know You have heard my prayer, so I know I have the petitions that I asked. Thank You in Jesus’ Name.”

Renew Your Hope

If you’ve faced overwhelming loss, repeated failures or betrayals of trust, hope may feel far from you. You know the key to receiving from God is standing in hope on His promises, yet you need supernatural help to get there.

God wants you to have hope—no matter what. His plans for you are exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). But, He needs you to be on the same page He is, in line with His Word, to be in position to receive.

No matter how hopeless your situation may seem, you can have hope, and you can renew the hope and excitement for life you once had. Here is a prayer to help you get there:

“Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You are the God who has given us all hope through Christ Jesus, who won victory over every need and situation in our lives on the cross.

Lord, I thank You that I was healed of all hurts and disappointments that day, and I stand and receive deliverance from all fear in Jesus’ Name. I know You haven’t given me that spirit of fear, so I rebuke it right now and replace it with a supernatural spirit of expectancy.

Your Word says I am not to fear.  So, I am strong and courageous because You are with me, and I can have hope in Your unfailing love.

Today, I release the cares of all past failures, rejections, shortcomings and disappointments to You. Help me not to carry them anymore, but to look forward to the prize You have for me.

I plead the blood of Jesus over my hopes and dreams. I declare now that I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. Nothing can stop me from the plan You have for me but my own doubts and fears. So, I bind those up today and cast them into the sea. I lay hold of Your promises and stand on them as I build my hope once again.

Thank You, Father, for the hope that is in Christ Jesus.”

Your hope is rising! Lay hold of God’s promises today, and receive His supernatural hope. Keep feeding on and speaking the Word over your life every day. Start dreaming again, and have the courage to believe!

To Walk In The Spirit

There is a key to enjoying everything in life you’ve always wanted. It isn’t a secret—it’s available to all who are willing to take the steps required to board the train of victory. Receiving salvation is a powerful and amazing gift, but it’s only the beginning. True—it opens the door to possibility, blessing, abundance and every good thing you could ever imagine, but open doors require one thing of you—to walk through them.

How do you walk through the door of supernatural blessing?

By living your life walking in the spirit. Sounds mysterious and unattainable, right?

The good news is—it’s right within your reach. The only equipment required: desire and commitment. You can walk in the spirit every day of your life. Here is a prayer to help you get there:

“Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You are the God of blessing, abundance and the supernatural. You are Almighty, the giver of every good and perfect gift. Lord, I stand before You now with a desire to go higher with You.

Father, Your Word says that to walk in the spirit, I need to throw off everything that hinders me. I ask You today to help me to identify and cast off every sin, thought or habit that is holding me back. If it is gossip, fear, sexual immorality, greed, envy or anything like them—I cast it out of my life right now in the Name of Jesus! I declare that I will not be a slave to anything that would try to hold me back from my blessing.

I present myself as a living sacrifice before You today and commit to put the flesh under the control of my spirit. I want to live the way You have called me to live, and I ask You now to give me the supernatural ability to do so. I ask for wisdom beyond my own ability, in Jesus’ Name.

I ask You to minister to my spirit the desire and drive to spend time praying in the spirit every single day. Help me not to give in to distractions that would keep me from fellowshiping with You. As I do this, I ask You to reveal to me mysteries and secrets that will promote and advance me in every area of my life.

Father, help me not to listen to the voice of the world, but to only hear and obey Your voice.

Thank You, Father, for the power of walking in the spirit.”

Your life is changing! Lay hold of God’s promises today, and receive His supernatural help. Spend time with Him every day. Pray in the spirit, get rid of anything that doesn’t belong in your life, and start living the life you’ve always wanted!

To Hear From God

Life is full of twists and turns that require big decisions, small decisions, adjusting to major life changes, and tackling day-to-day living. It seems like there are plenty of people out there who are ready to give you advice—in books, on television, at the office. But, is that the counsel we really need?

If we entertain too many different influences, thoughts and opinions, it can lead to confusion. In the midst of it all, you may feel uncertain that you’re hearing the one voice you long to hear most—the voice of God.

God is a speaking God, and He speaks to His children every day. We have the wonderful opportunity to listen to Him and learn to hear His voice. We don’t have to go through life blindly making decisions or relying on our own abilities. We can hear Him clearly and consistently.

You can hear God’s voice every day and walk in the confidence of being led by the Spirit in your life. Here is a prayer to hear God’s voice you can pray in faith:

“Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You desire to speak to me every day—guiding me in spirit and in truth to obey Your Word and enjoy an abundant life. I thank You that You have called me Your friend and that I may come boldly to the throne of grace to find help whenever I have a need in my life.

Lord, Your Word says that when we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. So, I draw near to You today. I seek Your face, Your truth and Your word for my life. I want to know You more, hear You more and obey You more.

Your Word says Your sheep know Your voice and we will not follow the voice of a stranger. Help me to know Your voice and not be deceived by any other voice. Help me to guard my heart from the influences of this world and the people around me. Help me not to be deceived by the devil and his lies, but to view all thoughts and decisions through the lens of righteousness.

As I seek to hear You today for instruction, correction and guidance, help me to confirm Your voice through Your Word. You said if I ask for wisdom, You will give it to me liberally, so I am asking for wisdom in the Name of Jesus to hear You clearly and consistently today and every day.

Help me to feel confident in knowing that I hear Your voice.

I praise You and thank You for it, in Jesus’ Name.”

When you seek the Lord with all your heart, and listen for His voice, you will always have the advice you need to face any circumstance. You will enjoy a powerful relationship with Him that will change your life. Begin to listen and be confident in knowing that He wants to speak to you and He wants you to hear His voice. You can hear from God!

Binding and Loosing

Matthew 18:18-19 – The Prayer of Binding and Loosing; the Prayer of Agreement

Jesus said in Matthew 12:29, “Or else how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.” When praying over a situation or a person, first bind the strong man (the devil) behind the situation causing the trouble or driving the person. Bind the devil off the person. We don’t wrestle against flesh and blood (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:12; 2 Timothy 2:25-26). Our true enemy, the real troublemaker, is the devil (John 10:10).

When someone comes across your mind or The Lord prompts you to pray for someone, for example, stop what you are doing and say, “Satan, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you devil operating in the life of (or against) ____________, according to Matthew 18:18, I bind you in your operations in his or her life. I demand you stop your maneuvers today. Jesus gave me His authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all your power (Mark 16:17; Luke 10:19). You loose ____________, and let him (or her) go!”

If the person has not yet made Jesus Lord of his or her life, pray, “Now Lord, I ask You to send laborers across ____________’s path, according to Your Word in Matthew 9:38. You know who ____________ will listen to. Open ____________’s ears to hear, eyes to see, and heart to understand what the Holy Spirit is saying to him (or her). I believe I receive it done, in the Name of Jesus.” Keep your faith strong in what you prayed, based on The Word of God. Every thought or negative bit of news that seems contrary to what you just prayed, cast down (2 Corinthians 10:5) in the Name of Jesus, and begin to thank and praise God that His Word is true and coming to pass in the life of the person for whom you prayed. Wherever you see the devil stealing, killing, or destroying (John 10:10), you can stop his activities with the prayer of binding and loosing.

You can do the same in the area of your finances. If you are a tither and giver, Malachi 3:11 says the devourer is rebuked, and command him to take his hands off your finances. Loose God’s ministering spirits to go and bring in your harvest (Hebrews 1:14). Praise and thank The Lord continually that He supplies your every need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

The bottom line is to base your prayer on The Word of God and the Name of Jesus. God’s Word is His will, and it is in His Name that every knee shall bow (Romans 14:11).   Jesus is The Word made flesh. He is the One who went to the Cross and into the regions of the damned, annihilating the devil and all his demons. He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it (Colossians 2:14-15). In His Name is the power, and He has given the power of attorney to use His Name to every believer (Mark 16:17). With confidence in His Name, which is above every name, be bold to step out and speak it in faith to deliver all who are oppressed by the devil (Mark 16:17-18).

Whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven. This is not referring to the heaven where God dwells, but to the atmospheric heaven. Satan has already been cast out of God’s presence (Isaiah 14:12; Luke 10:17-18). This is referring to the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2), the wicked spirits in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). God has delegated His authority to believers to bind the devil and his activities in the earth, just as He did. After Jesus rose from the dead and was about to ascend into heaven to take His place at the right hand of God, He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. (You) go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18-19). In other words, He told believers to go into all the world, take His power and His Name, and do what He did – and greater (John 14:12). In fact, in Mark 16 He spoke of the signs that would follow believers who dared to use the power of His Name: “These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents; if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (verses 17-18).

Then in Matthew 18:19, speaking of agreement prayer, Jesus adds even further power to the prayer of binding and loosing: “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father who is in heaven”. The very power of the risen Lord and the authority of His Name, together with the operation of the Holy Spirit guaranteed by the new covenant, is operative when you and I set ourselves in agreement. When we use the power of agreement prayer and bind satan, coming against him in the Name of Jesus and with The Word of the living God, it will be done on earth as it is in heaven. But we must be diligent to keep our agreement faith on it.

The prayer of binding and loosing and the prayer of agreement are two of God’s power tools to keep the devil under our feet as we fulfill God’s plans, purposes, and pursuits on the earth.

To Make Jesus the Lord of Your Life

Do you know where you stand with God?

If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life, then you are separated from God through sin.  God loves you so much He gave His only begotten Son for you.  You are the reason He sent Jesus to the cross.  John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Second Corinthians 5:21 says God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us.  Jesus is the spotless Son of God.  He knew no sin, but God made Him to be sin for us.  Sin was the reason Jesus came to earth.  He died on Calvary’s Cross and went to hell for one reason: to pay the price for your and my sin.  Once that price was paid, Jesus was raised from the dead, triumphant over satan, and the sin problem was forever taken care of.

God is not holding your sin against you.  He sent Jesus to the cross as your substitute, He paid the sin debt.  He became sin for you so you could become His righteousness.  Now you can receive the credit for what He did in your place (Isaiah 53:3-5).

The price has been paid, but it’s not automatic.  You must choose to accept what He did for you and receive Him as your personal Savior and LORD.  If you have never done so, choose Him now.  Repent of your sin (turn totally from it) and pray this prayer.  When you do, the power of God will make you a new creation in Christ Jesus.

“Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I present myself to You.  I pray and ask Jesus to be LORD over my life.  I believe it in my heart, so I say with my mouth that Jesus has been raised from the dead.  This moment I make Him The LORD over my life.  Jesus, come into my heart.  I believe this moment that I am saved.  I say it now: I am reborn.  I am a Christian.  I am a child of the Almighty God!.  Thank you, Jesus.”
